Collaboration between IIUM and BCECCC in developing LLM climate change curriculum

On 28 September 2022, 7 lawyers from the Bar Council Environment & Climate Change Committee visited the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws to explore collaboration on the university’s development of their climate change policy and law LLM curriculum.

Our team was led by our Chairperson, Roger Chan. We met with Prof Farid Sufian Shuaib (dean), Dr. Sharifah Zubaidah Syed Abdul Kader, Dr. Maizatun Mustafa and several others.

We discussed how our members, with their diverse experience and expertise, might support IIUM. IIUM’s project to develop the climate change curriculum is supported by a ERASMUS research grant, and led by Dr. Maizatun.

Many ideas were exchanged and we are off to a great start in this industry-academia partnership in advancing climate action.
